Well made but airport security problem Stitched together well but...the metal zipper heads (three of them) lit up airport security scanners. Wearing a long sleeved shirt I looped it over my neck and under my arm. Big Mistake! Had to take my shirt off to remove the pouch for inspection as the pouch cord cannot be untied. So much for secrecy. Also cannot see a way to move the springed device used to shorten the cord from the middle of the strap support causing it to push out at the back of my shirt collar. I assume this device has a metal spring which may have contributed to the security alert. Im also assuming here it wasnt the magnetic stripes on credit cards stored in the pouch that caused the problem. :2010-09-15 05:20:52
Great travel wallet You can read all the other reviews on how to wear it etc. and make up your own mind on this wallet. Some issues in other reviews didnt happen to me (zippers set off scanners) or others like the zippers coming down on their own also didnt seem to be a problem. Its very well built. I just returned from a month in Asia and didnt have a problem.
Not wanting to make this a treatise on travel wallets Ill offer the following:
One of the first things that you will have to figure out is what goes in what pocket. Remember this is generally for use while you are on overseas and requests for your credentials at airports and trains happen quickly. Here is what I ended up doing. The center pocket held my passport and when flying -- by folding down the small end of the boarding pass it held all my boarding documents. The small front pouch held my credit cards (remember to get a card that doesnt bill you for currency conversion) drivers license and a few other cards. In :2010-09-15 05:20:52
Victorinox Deluxe Neck Pouch I purchased this pouch (which I felt was pretty pricey but I believe you get what you pay for...) for my teenage daughters trip to Spain. Two days into the trip she tells me the neck strap broke & she had to buy another pouch cause they had to keep their passports w/them throughout the 11day trip!! Unbelievable!!! I was very disappointed w/ this product. :2010-09-15 05:20:52
I love my little pouch. I recently went to Europe for a couple of weeks and this was a great way to keep all of my stuff together. The fabric is nice and soft so when you put it underneath your clothes it doesnt get all sweaty or scratchy. In addition the pouch does not look too obvious under clothing and is completely concealed if wearing a jacket. The pockets are large and you can fit a lot inside of them but there are only three slots. This makes it difficult to get things out in a hurry but I suppose thats not such a bad thing. I carried a lot of stuff with me and all of it fit perfectly into my little pouch. :2010-09-15 05:20:52
